BlockBee Recap: Official Crypto Payment Processor for Bitcoin Amsterdam 2024

As announced in our previous blog post, BlockBee was honored to serve as the official crypto payment processor for Bitcoin Amsterdam 2024, which took place on October 9–10, 2024. The event was a major success, attracting over 5,000 attendees and allowing us to showcase the capabilities of our newly released web-based Point-of-Sale (POS) App.

BlockBee’s Point-of-Sale App: Web Debut at Bitcoin Amsterdam 2024

While our Point-of-Sale App has been available for Android, we took the opportunity to launch the Web version specifically for this event. This version of the app was used extensively throughout the conference to facilitate fast and secure Bitcoin Lightning payments. The ease of use and flexibility of the web-based app allowed merchants to process payments directly through a browser, making it a seamless solution for an event of this scale.

During the two days of Bitcoin Amsterdam, the app successfully processed more than 2,000 transactions via Bitcoin Lightning, offering merchants and attendees a streamlined and efficient payment experience.
