BlockBee Adds Support for TON

TON is now live on BlockBee. The Open Network is a Layer 1 blockchain designed for mass adoption and closely integrated with Telegram, one of the most widely used messaging apps in the world. For merchants, that means a new way to get paid by people who already hold crypto right inside their chat app.

A Quick Note on GRAM

In June 2026, TON's native token was renamed from Toncoin (TON) to Gram (GRAM) following a community vote. The network itself is still called The Open Network. Nothing changed on-chain: same balances, same addresses, no migration required. If your customers still call it TON, they're paying with the right thing.

Why TON?

TON is built for scale. Its sharded architecture splits the network's workload across parallel chains, keeping transactions fast and fees low even under heavy load. Its tight integration with Telegram puts a crypto wallet within easy reach of a massive global audience, and native USDT on TON makes it a practical rail for stablecoin payments.

For merchants, this means quick confirmations, minimal fees, and a stablecoin option customers already know and use.

How to Get Started

You can activate TON and its supported tokens directly from the BlockBee Dashboard to start accepting payments right away.

Alternatively, fetch the relevant ticker from the BlockBee Cryptocurrencies page and use it with the Create endpoint, such as ton/gram and ton/usdt, to integrate payments programmatically via API.
